DEUTZ-FAHR's
outstanding history started in 1864, when NICOLAUS AUGUST OTTO
founded the engine factory known as KLOCKNER-HUMBOLDT-DEUTZ AG (KHD).
During the years to come, DEUTZ-FAHR made itself known
throughout the world of agriculture
and industry with the
following remarkable achievements:
1864 - NICOLAUS OTTO invents the four stroke combustion engine.
1927 - Introduction of tractor with DIESEL engines.
1949 - Mass production of tractors powered by air-cooled DEUTZ
engines.
1970 - Acquisition of FAHR operations from KODEL & BOHM
1992 - DEUTZ tractor #1,000,000 is manufactured
1994 - ISO 9001 is awarded
1995 - AGROTRON line of tractors introduced to the market.
1995 - DEUTZ-FAHR (tractors, hay equipment and combines) is now
part of SAME DEUTZ-FAHR GROUP
S.p.A.
The DEUTZ-FAHR line of tractors is now back in NORTH AMERICA,
being distributed by
SAME DEUTZ-FAHR NORTH AMERICA INC. The
company's headquarters is located in Stone
Mountain, GA., which
includes the main parts warehouse and service training facilities.
